Oh, also here are my cutie patootie students dancing the Cotton Eye Joe. I was right next to them, dancing right along. Contrary to what the article says we don't do this every morning to combat obesity, although that's not a bad side effect. We do it to get oxygen flowing to their brains. We do it to get them ready to learn. We do it to help them forget about whatever their morning may have held and build a sense of community. We do it to dance together and have fun.

We went to Boo at the Zoo today for some trick or treating and saw some friends while we were there. The boys had a great time getting candy and honestly didn't care a hoot about the animals, just the candy.

We went on an awesome mini-vacation, just Jeff and I. There was a conference that Jeff and I were scheduled to attend when Jeff was still at the church and they graciously said we could still go. It was a great trip and a good get away for just Mom and Dad. Hopefully we can do it again someday!

My computer is finally back so here comes a crap load of pictures! This is the day we went to Colorado. The top picture is Sam in the chair after puking his guts out. Nice way to start a travel day! The second picture is Eli throwing one of many hissy fits on the floor. Another nice addition to our travel day. The last picture is Sam squeezing my hand on the plane because he was terrified. Luckily Eli fell asleep as you can see in the picture and Sam followed soon after. I sipped a diet coke and read a magazine. PERFECT FLIGHT! We made it safe and sound to Nonnie and Papa's house.

I sold our jogger stroller so that we could buy a double jogger. The stroller that we ended up getting is a BEAST! Seriously it is huge, huge and AWESOME! I love it even if it does weigh 100 pounds. Since Jeff isn't home this week and I have been stuck home with sick boys we needed to find something to do and get out of the house for a little bit. We decided to go to Lake Lowell, I figured boy like throwing rocks in the water and I was right. It was fun just to get out of the house for a little bit, although I have to admit there were some questionable gentlemen there and I'm not sure I liked going by myself, but I probably just watch too much Dateline :).

Poor Eli has been siiiiiiiick! He threw up for HOURS last night and through today. He is finally keeping water and a couple of crackers down, thank goodness. Sam was also throwing up this morning, but he does that sometimes when he drinks his mild too fast, so it may not have been this yucky bug. I sure hope this is over! I think we have seen quite enough puke.

This is Sam's first real bike. We got it at the church rummage sale and stuck some training wheels on it. On his tricycle you can pedal backwards, but on this bike if you pedal backwards it puts on the breaks so it is taking a little getting used to. We went out and practiced today and he is zooming around like a pro. (That face he is making is what he does when you tell him to smile.)

The temperature finally allowed us to go to Roaring Springs! Today also happens to be Jeff's birthday. The kids and I went and bought birthday donuts and coffee for the birthday boy. (Yes he is drinking coffee now, but don't ask him about it or he will deny it.) We went and played in the water for a few hours and then came home for nap time. It's so nice to be able to go until the kids are tired and not feel like you are wasting money because you weren't there from open to close. Also, Happy Birthday Jeff!

I (Jenn) got the official word this morning... I have a job next year! Since this was my first year teaching I was basically on a year only contract and had to be re-hired. With the budget short-falls I was worried I would be one of the ones that was not asked back for next year. Our distrcit has quite a deficit that they need to work around this year. Luckily they value teachers most of all, and luckily for me they thought I did a good job. Hooray!!!

Yep, our house is for sale. As of 4:30ish this afternoon we are putting this puppy on the market. Jeff called a realtor yesterday just to talk about our options and voila our house is for sale! It seems like Eli has been sick all winter! Multiple ear infections multiple fevers multiple colds. Gooey noses, gooey ears, gooey butts. Gross but true. We tried to make it to church today and even sat in Sunday school for a few minutes but Eli was crying and Sam "wanted to go to sleep." So here we are watching a movie, not a bad Sunday, I just wish we were well! - Above is a picture of Eli this morning. I was trying to get ready and he wouldn't stop crying. I heard the crying stop and I thought uh oh. I looked in the living room and found this, which is abnormal for Eli because he has a strict going to sleep routine.

Jeff and I have been working on loosing weight since we got back from Hawaii. I know normally people loose weight BEFORE the vacation where you have to wear a bathing suit but we have always done things a little differently. Sorry for the lame before and now pictures. It just what I've got on hand. We are still wanting to loose some more but I think we've made good progress. Both of the before pictures are from our trip to Hawaii in December.

I have been re-organizing and trying to put some baby things away that Eli doesn't use anymore. He is very close to walking and doesn't like to be confined to his bouncer anymore so it's going in the garage.

When Sam turned three we told him that was the end of the binky. "Three year olds don't have binkies." He decorated a box with stickers and we packed them up for baby Ethan Meyer (In case you were wondering we don't actually expect Ethan to use them, we just needed Sam to know that they were no longer in the house.). He has been a trooper, and only cried for them the first night. I think it has been harder for me knowing that Sam is getting to be a "big boy." Thanks baby Ethan for helping us say bye bye to the binky.

I heard Sam's movie ending so I went in to tell him it was time for bed ... looks like he had already gotten the memo. So cute.

On a not so cute note, I had to re-apply for my job today. Since I am a first year teacher I'm on a kind of probationary period. If you do well you get asked back. Unfortunately with all of the craziness going on during this legislative session I may be laid off next year. I spoke with my administrator and he said if he can, he would love to have me back. Unfortunately he has no idea what will happen with layoffs and how tenure will affect who gets to stay. BUMMER!! - I am trying not to stress about it since it really is out of my hands, but you know how well that works sometimes. :) (If you are curious about what is going on in Idaho with the legislature, just google: Idaho Education Reform.)

Sam on Wednesday after daycare. He fell asleep in the car on the way home and Jeff transplanted him to the recliner in the living room. Unfortunately, Sam was not impressed when he realized Dad left for church without him.
