Doctor's Appointment

Sam had his twelve month well child check today and everything went well! His height has dropped from around the 60th percentile to 47th and his weight has remained around the 38th percentile (he weighed 21.9 pounds.)
Sam got two shots and so far seems to be doing well. We skipped his MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) until he starts school. Jeff and I have worked with many children who are living with disabilities and one theory is that the MMR shot may be causing some of it. We are not convinced that this theory is right, but want to caution on the safe side. The doctors think we are paranoid which is evident by the two (and counting) copies of a book on vaccinations that we have received. I think it is the doctor's way of saying you're crazy without saying it. Oh well, we'll be safe and crazy I guess.
I let the doctor know about his shaking episode from last week and she said if he does it again to bring him in so that she can take his blood sugar. Hopefully it was an isolated incident.
Overall, it was a good visit!
