I had to have my gall bladder taken out over this spring break. I started noticing symptoms around Thanksgiving. They were at their worst during our vacation to Hawaii. I found myself not being able to eat without ending up in pain, which is no fun ever, but especially on vacation. When we came back the doctors did some testing and found out my gall bladder, "sucked" as the surgeon put it. We planned to have it taken out on spring break so that I would have plenty of sick days just in case I needed them.
This picture was taken on my way to surgery. I really wasn't as excited as I look here. It was either happy thumbs up or scared tears. I picked thumbs up. The staff for the most part at St. Al's was awesome and I don't remember anything after saying bye to Jeff.

This is me trying to do thumbs up again after the surgery...I was a little (a lot) out of it and slow.
The first night home included lots of nausea and throwing up but I'm over that hump and recovering nicely. I am able to take my medication without throwing up and to be honestly my head feels like it may float off of my shoulders so if this is a gibberish, sorry. Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers, everything went so well and I am excited to finally not have to deal with stomach pain everyday.
Jeff has been amazing and has taken care of me so well! I couldn't ask for more.
